Before 23 Things Kansas, I was already on Facebook, LinkedIn, and WebJunction. This week, I explored Facebook, adding a couple of 23 Things Kansas people and updating slightly more often than I usually would.
What I like about Facebook is that it gives me an easy way to stay in contact with people I might otherwise lose touch with - college friends, even high school friends. This is mostly how I use Facebook - to see what other people are up to or (occassionally) even start chatting with them. In the future, I think I will pretty much use it the same way. I might also get to use it for work at some point, since I have seen several libraries utilizing Facebook pages or groups. SCKLS probably would not use Facebook because we serve librarians rather than the public.
Here's where I am in the Great Internet Yonder:

Liked your discussion of Facebook and its use by organizations vs individuals. I agree that it is good to understand your constituency and to use the tools that will appeal to them.
ReplyDeleteHope you are continuing to explore the 23 Things tools. Have you done anything with photos yet?
